People always wonder what it is like living with a Great Bernese. It is like living with another human. Our girl, Andorra, is the most loyal and loving dog you could ask for. She is the guardian of our home and children. She has enough energy to keep up with all four of the kids, take a hike in the mountains, or run and play with our puppies. She also doesn’t mind lounging all day with us inside on the couch. She is never far from our side. She takes her job as family caretaker very seriously. She has a heart of gold and loves all of us and our animals very much. There truly isn’t another breed like the Great Bernese. Obviously the Bernese are very close to our heart, but their energy and guarding nature doesn’t compare. Each breed comes with very specific traits and temperaments that make them the perfect family addition.
